Coming alive

I went to visit my friends in New Hampshire for a weekend. They just bought an old house in the woods and are planning to renovate it. In the morning, I went outside; it was a cloudy day.

"Maybe I can find something to paint," I thought, and I went out with my drawing pad and a brush. I looked around at their backyard. It resembled an old photograph, a picture of the past: a fancy old car, which probably had been standing there for years; an old-fashioned bicycle; a rusty wheelbarrow... Even the forest behind looked like it was tired to stand.

Nothing exciting, - I thought and turned to go back inside the house, but suddenly bright sunlight illuminated that entire scene. I saw such a dramatic change! In an instant, the picture was transformed!

Suddenly, everything started to glow with strength and enthusiasm.  Yea, the light surely makes a difference. So, I stopped and started painting.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Whether it will be just a short-lived emotion or a shifting in your life reality is your choice. You can grab a hold of the light you see or only enjoy it for a moment and continue your way, as if nothing happened. We cannot live without light, at least not a quality life. Our Creator is the "Father of Lights," and He has brought all His children out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1Pet. 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Do you want to be among these special people? Allow this light to penetrate your heart and every aspect of your life! This marvelous light is the kingdom of God's only Begotten Son, Jesus the Messiah. It’s open to you. Receive the truth, and shine! It has never been a better time.
